Nor has he forgotten his Irish roots - his first CD recorded since leaving New Zealand is entitled 'New Irish Harmonica' and he has also guested on albums by Arty McGlynn and Nollaig Casey, Ringo McDonagh's Arcadie and singer/songwriter Thom Moore.

Brendan was invited to join an eclectic Irish orchestra organised by Mícheál Ó Súilleabháin for the BBC/RTE series "River of Sound". Away from the studios he has toured in Bavaria, Normandy, Sardinia and Ireland. In 1995 he teamed up with Donal Lunny, The Rankins, Sharon Shannon and Altán for the Celebration of Irish Music Tour of New Zealand and Australia.
