Noel Eccles The innovative approach of percussionist Noel Eccles has brought him extensive work with Irish composers and producers, including Bill Whelan, Shaun Davey and Donal Lunny, and with international names such as Dave Stewart, Brian Eno and Stewart Levine. Like many other leading Irish musicians, Belfast-born Noel was a member of the acclaimed Moving Hearts band.

Now he is principal percussionist with the National Symphony Orchestra of Ireland and the country's "first call" studio percussionist. His touring, concert and recording credits feature U2, Van Morrison, Sting, The Chieftains, Hothouse Flowers, Elvis Costello and Sinead O'Connor. Noel has composed soundtracks for television and for theatre while, as principal percussionist with Irish film orchestras, he has played on over thirty film scores including A Room with a View and Mask.
